My Love!

It’s been 4 days since the start of Ramadan. It’s our first Ramadan together - and we have Sarah with us this year. There is so much I am learning this time. How to take care of you, myself and the people around me. I am constantly reminded by your sweet face, what a blessing you are. Your smiles bring life to our life. Alhumdulillah.

This year, we are attempting to finish the Qur’an in Taraweeh. What an amazing feat. It feels really good to stand in front of Allah for so long and worship him in this beautiful month. My mind wanders at times, but I try to focus on the words. Insha Allah, we will teach you Arabic very soon, so your relationship with the Qur’an is strong and deep.

Baba got his work visa, and we have applied for your passport too. Insha Allah very soon you will be ready to fly too. My mind is all over the place with trying to wrap things up, recite and study the Qur’an and doing other things. But betoo, you have been so co-operative. Except the first Taraweeh. When we got you vaccinated, you cried a lot. And I prayed with you in my arms. I felt really happy to have you with me.

Imaanoo. I love you beta. You are such a joy to be around. You are calm, and intelligent for your 3 month old age. You don’t trouble us unnecessarily and make life easy for us. Alhumdulillah. I feel blessed to have a daughter like you. Your baba keeps dreaming about things to do with you. Places to take you. Especially masajid where we can pray together. Feel the awe of the house of Allah. He was super excited about going to Madina with us. Insha Allah.

This Ramadan is a little different, betoo. I feel I have a grown a bit more in Taqwa of Allah swt. But running quite less on time. Taking care of your needs takes time and energy.
